Quando questa mossa viene utilizzata, viene intensificata la luce solare sul campo di lotta. I suoi effetti durano per 5 turni. Può annullare e può essere annullata a sua volta da qualsiasi altra condizione atmosferica subentrante. Può essere utilizzata con successo anche se la luce solare intensa è già presente.

Se chi usa Giornodisole tiene Rocciacalda, la durata del sole si prolunga da 5 ad 8 turni.

Giornodisole fallisce se è in corso la condizione di acquazzone, di luce solare accecante, o di corrente d'aria misteriosa.

Quando Giornodisole è attiva, Lama Solare carica e viene eseguita in un solo turno.

Nona generazione

Giornodisole non può più sovrascrivere una condizione meteorologica presente nell'overworld.

Mossa Z

Oltre al suo normale effetto, Giornodisole aumenterà la Velocità dell'utilizzatore di un livello quando usata come mossa Z. Potrà essere usata da un Pokémon con un Cristallo Z compatibile e con un Cerchio Z.

Curiosità

  • Nonostante il nome della mossa, Giornodisole può essere usata anche di notte.
    • Tuttavia, il suo nome Giapponese è "Clear Sky". Questo può spiegare perché Lucelunare guarisce 2/3 dei PS Max di un Pokémon, se Giornodisole è in vigore.
  • Giornodisole è stata la prima mossa da condizione atmosferica ad essere introdotta.
  • Castform e Bronzong sono gli unici Pokémon ad apprendere Giornodisole per livello a non essere di tipo Fuoco o Erba.
    • Tuttavia Castform può assumere il tipo Fuoco nella forma sole.
