Meanwhile, in the middle of the rear three carriages of the train which are heading back to the [[Indigo Plateau]], [[Falkner]], [[Bugsy]], [[Whitney]], and [[Morty]] continue to whittle down some [[Team Rocket Grunt]]s, when [[Lt. Surge]] enters to inform them about the carriage split, and how he was able to generate enough electricity to reverse the carriages' motion. He holds up a {{ball|Great}} as proof of his accomplishment.
