Durante la Gara di [[Ciocovitopoli]], Gabite sconfigge Jessie ed il suo {{TP|James|Carnivine}}, per poi fronteggiare Pachirisu nella finale. Gabite domina completamente la prima parte della lotta, anche se Lucinda riesce a vincere riducendo i punti dell'avversaria ordinando a Pachirisu di schivare gli attacchi di Gabite.

Gabite was used alongside Ursula's newly-evolved {{p|Flareon}} in ''[[DP175|Opposites Interact!]]'', for the Top 32 battle round of the [[Sinnoh Grand Festival]], another time against Dawn, her {{TP|Dawn|Pachirisu}} and {{TP|Dawn|Mamoswine}}. Gabite and Flareon seemed like they were going to win for most of the battle, however, Dawn perfected her Ice Chandelier [[Contest combination|combination]] and defeated them both.
 
Gabite viene usato insieme all'appena evolutosi [[Flareon]] di Ursula in ''[[DP175|Interazione tra opposti!]]'', per il round di lotta tra i Top 32 del [[Grand Festival di Sinnoh]], ancora una volta contro Lucinda e i suoi {{TP|Lucinda|Pachirisu}} e {{TP|Lucinda|Mamoswine}}.
