Manectric è il Pokémon principale di Walter in [[Pokémon Smeraldo]], anche se non è comparso in [[Pokémon Rubino e Zaffiro]]. Assieme a Manectric, Walter possiede un Electrike quando lo si sfida in Palestra, anche se non compare nelle [[Risfida|rivincita]]. Manectric appare successivamente in [[Pokémon Nero 2 e Bianco 2]] in tutti i tornei in cui compare Walter.

Manectric is Wattson's main Pokémon in {{game|Emerald}}, though he does not appear at all in {{v2|Ruby and Sapphire|s}}. Along with Manectric, Wattson commands an Electrike in the Gym battle against him, though it does not appear in [[rematch]]es. Manectric later appears in {{game|Black and White|s|Pokémon Black 2 and White 2|2}} in all the tournaments in which Wattson is featured.

Wattson's Manectric first appears as an Electrike in ''[[PS204|Plugging Past Electrike I]]'', where it was used to battle the children that challenged Wattson to a Gym battle. Together, with Wattson's two {{p|Magnemite}}, it easily defeated the children. After arriving in [[New Mauville]], Wattson becomes captured by the generator powering the area. Electrike, along with Magnemite, manages to escape and gets {{adv|Sapphire}} and the [[Trick Master|Robot King]] to help. During the battle with the generator, Electrike used its {{a|Lightningrod}} to draw in the generator's electricity, allowing Sapphire to attack and defeat it.
