* Questa è la seconda volta che un rivale di Ash possiede una forma evoluta di un Pokémon iniziale che possiede anche Ash. Il primo è stato {{Gary}} con {{TP|Gary|Blastoise}}. Si può notare inoltre che entrambi i Pokémon sono i Pokémon iniziali dei rivali, assomigliano entrambi a delle tartarughe, si sono visti entrambi solo nella loro forma evolutiva finale, mai in quella intermedia e si sono visti nella loro prima forma solo in un flashback.
