Quando Ash ed amici tornano a cercare Bulbasaur, {{an|Misty}} ed il suo {{TP|Misty|Togepi|Togetic}} vengono rapiti anche loro. Si scopre poi che un [[Bulbasaur]] che è [[Pokémon Gigante|grosso due volte del normale]] è la creatura misteriosa. E' rimasto tutto solo dopo che è stato abbandonato dal Sindaco quando era ancora un ragazzo, e sta cercando qualcuno che gli tenga compagnia. Ash, Misty e {{Tracey}} mostrano all'intera città che il mostro nelle fogne non era altri che il Bulbasaur, di proprietà del Sindaco, dopo che i condotti dell'acqua sono esplosi innondando il centro di Trovitopolis.

As Ash and his friends were looking for Bulbasaur, {{an|Misty}} and her {{TP|Misty|Togepi|Togetic}} got captured, too. It later turned out a {{p|Bulbasaur}} that was [[Giant Pokémon|twice its normal size]] was the creature wreaking havoc. It was lonely after being abandoned by the mayor when he was a child and was looking for someone to keep it company. Ash, Misty, and {{Tracey}} then showed the whole town that the monster was the Bulbasaur that the mayor previous owned, after the pipes got backed up from the concrete-sealed sewer exits and flooded Trovitopolis City Hall.
