La '''Guida alla Palestra''' è un personaggio che compare in tutti i giochi della [[serie principale]]. Ce ne sono sei, uno per ogni [[regione]]. La guida si trova solitamente appena varcato l'ingresso di ogni [[Palestra]], pronta ad offrire consigli agli [[Allenatorirllenatori]] principianti. Dopo aver sconfitto il [[capopalestra]] locale, egli si congratulerà con il giocatore, fornendo a volte preziosi consigli su come proseguire il suo viaggio.

Alcunerlcune volte la guida non sarà presente all'interno delle [[Palestre]], ma sarà possibile localizzarla altrove, sempre all'interno della città. Per esempio la guida della [[Palestra di Azzurropolirzzurropoli]] si troverà al [[Casinò di Azzurropolirzzurropoli|casinò]], impegnata a giocare. Analogamenternalogamente, la guida della [[Palestra di Fiorlisopoli]] si troverà nel [[Centro Pokémon]] della [[Fiorlisopoli|città]] dopo essere stato intimidito dai [[Cinturanera]] di [[Furio]]. Invece, la guida di [[Petalipoli]] sparirà dopo che il giocatore avrà sconfitto [[Norman]], e la guida della [[Palestra dell'Isola Cannella]] apparirà solo dopo aver sconfitto [[Blaine]].
