''Nel mezzo della foresta di Okoya, i Pokémon misteriosi Zarude vivono in branco e osservano una regola ferrea che vieta a qualsiasi estraneo di entrare nel loro territorio. Nella foresta vive anche Koko, un ragazzo cresciuto da un Zarude che ha abbandonato il branco. Koko è cresciuto con l’assoluta certezza di essere un Zarude. Ma un giorno, in seguito a un incontro fortuito con Ash e Pikachu, Koko si ritrova con il suo primo amico umano. Può considerarsi un Pokémon? Oppure è semplicemente un essere umano? Il pericolo incomberà sulla foresta e metterà in discussione il legame tra Pokémon ed esseri umani, così come l’amore tra genitore e figlio.''

==Trama==
Deep within the [[Forest of Okoya]], a tribe of [[Zarude]] live at the Heart Tree and its surrounding healing springs. The Zarude reign over the jungle, regularly terrorizing other wild Pokémon and stealing their food. One day, after collecting stolen food, {{OBP|Zarude|M23|one of the Zarude}} hears crying and discovers a human infant in a cradle on the riverbank. Unable to let the child perish in the wild, the Zarude brings him back to the Heart Tree, incurring the wrath of the others as the law of the Zarude prohibits outsiders from entering the area. The Zarude decides to leave his tribe and go into exile to raise the boy, giving him the name {{OBP|Koko|M23}} and being dubbed "Dada" by him in turn.
