===Storia===
Detective Pikachu era una volta un normale Pikachu appartenente ad [[Harry Goodman]], un detective che lavora presso un'agenzia investigativa di [[Ryme City]]. Durante un caso, Harry e Pikachu hanno avuto un incidente d'auto nel quale Harry è scomparso mentre Pikachu ha riportato un'amnesia ed ha anche misteriosamente acquisito la capacità di agire e parlare come un essere umano. Due mesi dopo l'incidente, incontra [[Tim Goodman]] poco dopo l'arrivo di Tim a Ryme City. Insieme a Tim e all'agenzia investigativa di Ryme City, Pikachu risolve enigmi e misteri.
====Personalità e caratteristiche====
Oltre alla sua capacità di parlare, Detective Pikachu mostra una serie di tratti umani. Gli piace bere caffè e tè e si innamora facilmente di donne umane attraenti.
Detective Pikachu sembra aver sacrificato la maggior parte delle sue abilità come Pikachu. Come tale, non è molto veloce. Tuttavia, come Pokémon parlante, può interpretare e tradurre testimonianze di altre {{OBP|Pokémon|specie}}.
