[[Carl]] and [[Sham]] boast that not even [[legendary Pokémon]] escape capture by the Masked Man. They then switch off the live recording, declaring that the Masked Man's arrival is imminent, and that [[Team Rocket]] will be resurrected once more. With that, they throw down their Team Rocket jackets and put on their half-masks.
 
Gold, still unable to move, suddenly realizes that it is because of [[Roar]]. He and Crystal then find themselves surrounded by several [[Houndoom]] and [[Persian]]. [[Aibo]] finds a way to release [[Polibo]] from its [[Poké Ball]], and the [[Politoed]] instantly puts its opposition to sleep. However, Sham's [[Slowking]] [[snore]]s loudly to create solid air blocks, and Carl's [[Magcargo]] breathes out fire while asleep. Crystal has [[Bonee]] swat away Slowking's Snore while Gold has Polibo counter Magcargo's [[Fire]] attack. Both soon struggle with their opponents.
