==Informazioni==
*Questo è stato il primo (ed unico) set a mostrare i {{GCC|Pokémon Light}}. I Pokémon Light sono simili ai {{GCC|Pokémon Dark}} introdotti nell'espansione {{GCC|Team Rocket}}.
*Il nome "Destiny" è usato come set set in riferimento ai Pokémon Light e Dark, in quanto il destino di un Pokémon è determinato dal modo in cui vengono trattati dal loro [[Allenatore Pokémon|Allenatore]].
*Questo set completa la transizione di tutti i tipi di {{GCC|Unown}} come carte, ad eccezione di Unown R. Come {{GCC ID|Wizards Promo|Unown J|38}}, Unown R era una carta promozionale in Giappone, ma non era stata tradotta da Wizards. Una carta conosciuta in inglese come Unown R non è apparsa fino all'espansione {{GCC|EX Forze Segrete}}.
*I {{GCC|Pokémon Shining}} sono di nuovo presenti in questo set - 8 rispetto ai 2 in {{GCC|Neo Revelation}}. A differenza dei loro predecessori, queste carte hanno ottenuto un esclusivo trattamento di lamina; gli sfondi rimanevano non olografici, mentre ai Pokémon veniva dato un aspetto metallico.
*Ciascuno dei Pokémon shining rilasciati in questo set è di {{GCC|tipo}} diverso; l'unico non rappresentato è {{GCC|Acqua}}, che è rappresentato dai due Pokémon shining rilasciati nel set precedente.
*Neo Destiny è stato anche l'ultimo set realizzato dalla [[Wizards of the Coast]] con il simbolo della {{GCC|1° edizione}} e l'ultimo set in lingua inglese che lo caratterizza nel suo complesso. L'uso del simbolo è stato eliminato a causa del fatto che a volte la corsa della prima edizione sarebbe stata rilasciata dopo la corsa illimitata (quindi sconfiggendo lo scopo).
*Nessun Pokémon di {{ct|Oscurità}} venne rilasciato come {{GCC|Pokémon Dark}}. I Pokémon che appaiono come Pokémon di doppio tipo [[Buio]] nei giochi hanno ricevuto il tipo GCC corrispondente al loro altro tipo come Pokémon Dark, con gli esempi di {{GCC ID|Neo Destiny|Dark Houndoom|7}}, un {{ct|Fuoco}}, e {{GCC ID|Neo Destiny|Dark Tyranitar|11}}, che è di {{ct|Combattimento}}, mentre i Pokémon Dark di tipo singolo (all'epoca esisteva solo {{p|Umbreon}}) non sono presenti come Pokémon Dark. Questa "regola" è stata successivamente completamente annullata nelle serie EX, dove la ''maggior parte'' dei Pokémon Dark sono di tipo doppio con il loro tipo normale.

*This was the first (and only) set to feature {{GCC|Light Pokémon}}. Light Pokémon are similar to the {{GCC|Dark Pokémon}} introduced earlier in {{GCC|Team Rocket}}.
*The name "Destiny" is used as the set title in reference to the Light and Dark Pokémon, in that a Pokémon's destiny is determined by how they are treated by their {{pkmn|Trainer}}.
*This set completes the transition of all the {{GCC|Unown}} to card form, with the exception of Unown R. Like {{GCC ID|Wizards Promo|Unown J|38}}, Unown R was a Promotional card in Japan, but was not translated by Wizards. An English Unown R did not appear until {{GCC|EX Forze Segrete}}.
*{{GCC|Shining Pokémon}} once again featured in this set - 8 as opposed to 2 in {{GCC|Neo Revelation}}. Unlike their predecessors, these cards got a unique foil treatment; the backgrounds remained non-holographic while the Pokémon themselves were given a metallic look.
*Each of the shining Pokémon released in this set is of a different {{GCC|type}}; the only one not represented is {{GCC|Water}}, which is represented by the two shining Pokémon released in the previous set.
*Neo Destiny was also the last set that [[Wizards of the Coast]] made that featured the {{GCC|1st Edition}} symbol, and the last English-language set to feature it overall. The use of the symbol was eliminated due to the fact that sometimes the 1st Edition run would be released after the unlimited run (thus defeating the purpose).
*No {{ct|Darkness}} Pokémon are released as {{GCC|Dark Pokémon}}. Pokémon that appear as dual-type {{type|Dark}} Pokémon in the games are given the TCG type corresponding to their other type as Dark Pokémon, with the examples of {{GCC ID|Neo Destiny|Dark Houndoom|7}}, a {{ct|Fire}}, and {{GCC ID|Neo Destiny|Dark Tyranitar|11}}, which is {{ct|Fighting}}, while single-type Dark Pokémon (at the time there was only [[Umbreon]]) do not feature as Dark Pokémon. This "rule" was later completely reversed in the EX series, where ''most'' Dark Pokémon are dual-types with their normal type.
