The Devon Corporation serves similar purposes in [[Pokémon Adventures]] as in the games. The "Devon Goods" was actually a metal tube that allowed Captain Stern's submarine to withstand the pressure of deeper sea water. Mr. Stone was ambushed by Team Aqua while heading to Slateport from Rustboro, and the metal tube was stolen. The letter to Steven contained the then-undeciphered code required to unlock the [[legendary golem]]s in case {{p|[[Kyogre}}]] and {{p|[[Groudon}}]] clashed with each other again. {{adv|Sapphire}} was instructed to deliver this letter but only managed to do so when Kyogre and Groudon did clash, and she was saved temporarily from the burst of energy by Steven.
