In [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Esploratori del Tempo ed Esploratori dell'Oscurità|Esploratori del Tempo e dell'Oscurità]], se un Pokémon selvatico viene messo fuori combattimento dopo aver preso uno strumento, prenderà ugualmente lo strumento, ma non sarà considerato un ladro. La stessa cosa succederà parlando con Kecleon prima di lasciare il negozio, in quanto lo strumento non è considerato appartenente alla mercanzia. Questo glitch è stato fixato nel [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Esploratori del Cielo|gioco successivo]].

In [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Squadra Rossa e Squadra Blu|Squadra Rossa e Blu]], il Kecleon che gestisce il negozio può essere reclutato, ma attaccherà il team se gli verranno usati contro dei [[Semi|Semefuoco]] o mosse come [[Autodistruzione]] e [[Esplosione]], ma una volta passati al prossimo piano, non seguirà la squadra. Generalmente, il glitch si attiva se [[Kecleon]] viene attaccato da Pokémon nemici.

Il glitch può essere attivato usando un [[Nastri|Trasfervelo]], in modo da dirigere un attacco di un Pokémon selvatico contro [[Kecleon]], o anche se un Pokémon selvatico usa [[Esplosione]] o [[Autodistruzione]], o attivando una [[Trappole|Scoppiotrappola]] o una [[Trappole|Boomtrappola]]. Insomma, facendo qualsiasi cosa che infligga danni a [[Kecleon]] da Pokémon che non siano membri del team.
In [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team|Red and Blue Rescue Team]], the Kecleon in a dungeon shop can be made to follow the team around and behave as a team member, (It will attack you if you somehow find means of attacking it like eating a Blast Seed onto it or using [[Selfdestruct]] or [[Explosion]] near it.) but will not follow the team onto the next floor. The glitch is generally activated if Kecleon is somehow attacked by enemy Pokémon (it automatically follows with your team so it can attack enemy Pokémon) by means of the player or partner(s) using a [[Pass Scarf]] to make a wild Pokémon damage the Kecleon, or an enemy Pokémon using Selfdestruct or Explosion without destroying anything on the shop tiles, or the trap equivalents are activated by the player or partner(s).
