The Pokémon featured in the set, unlike in the three previous sets, are based on the featured Pokémon from the twelfth movie, specifically Arceus instead of a certain Trainer. This set marks the {{TCG|Arceus|TCG debut}} of the final [[Generation IV]] Pokémon, {{p|Arceus}}. A new rule was introduced saying that players can have as many Arceus cards in their decks as they want.
